Today was a cold, wet day in Atlanta, Georgia - not exactly an ideal climate for a video shoot. I arrived about an hour late after walking through what felt like frozen air with several bags of clothing and props while headed to an upscale loft on Walker street; only about a mile from my place in Mechanicsville. Once I walked up the long set of stairs that led into the contemproary condo, the scenery was well worth the trip - it was beautiful. I thought, "Is this the set for MY video?" Once I spotted Mr. Mahdi calling shots, there was no doubt that this video shoot had been set up for The Randevyn Project.
Even though today's weather was quite uncomfortable, I've gotta admit that the rain really helped to set the tone for the mood I needed for the video. Mr. Mustafa Mahdi was incredible to work with. He consistently made me feel condident and comfortable. Even though I repeatedly insisted that acting wasn't "my thing," he continued to reassure and compliment me throughout each scene. Mahdi also gets points for casting the most drop-dead gorgeous model within a 50 mile radius. Stay tuned - it's gonna be pretty cool.
